 Introduction

The brown-gray body is covered with three irregular and incomplete vertical black bands, reaching halfway down the flanks.A small black smudge appears at the dorsal fin's base.The dark-edged scales are marked with tiny iridescent dots, accentuated when the fish is viewed under side-lighting.
