Introduction

This long-finned aquarium-developed  strain takes its name from the coppery red metallic sheen on male flanks.Colors are intensified during breeding .A small dark patch make the body just before the caudal peduncle.The female fins have less colors and the body is plumper.

This prolific egg scatterer is ideal for the first-time breeder, but parents tend to eat the eggs, so remove them after spawning.It prefers a well furnished tank will floating plants for shade.
