Introduction
The branded or Lined barb's pale golden body is crossed horizontally by a number of equally space dark stripes.The thickest stripe runs along the mid-line of the body, with three thinner stripes above it and one or two below.The plumper female has a higher arched back, and her stripes are not as bold.
