Introduction
Two dark blotches mark the flanks of this pale greenish brown barb.Sexual differences are obvious, especially at breeding times, as the male has a broad band of red in the side and dark speckling in the dorsal fin.Like most egg-laying species, the female is generally plumper and less colorful.
