Introduction
This slightly elongate fish has a narrow caudal peduncle and plump sides.The general body coloration is yellow, with silver on the ventral surface.There may be some short , dark, vertical streaks or marks randomly distributed over the body, especially on juveniles; but mark usually fade with age.Female golden barb are plumper.
